From the very first moment I stepped into the bar at Hotel Jarolim, it felt like encountering a graceful grand dame – full of dignity, character, and a distinct atmosphere. It was essential to preserve this charm, even during the renovation.

Originally redesigned in the 1970s, the bar had remained out of service for many years. Its floor plan is clearly structured, while the choice of materials and the design of the furnishings are a contemporary interpretation of the style of that era.

Only authentic materials were used: the existing stone floor was extended using the same type of stone, and both the bar counter and tables are made of stone as well. This material language is echoed throughout the hotel, where various types of stone are thoughtfully incorporated. The wood used is the same as in the past – fine walnut. Brass elements, too, can be found again, both in the bar and throughout the hotel.

The result is a space that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity – bringing new life and luster to the old grand dame.
